Find quick answers to common questions about using UQwest.
UQwest is an AI-powered platform that helps students and universities simplify and speed up the course equivalency process for exchange programs. It centralizes past approvals, automates requests, and connects students directly with the right departments.
Yes. UQwest is completely free for students. Universities purchase institutional licenses to unlock management, analytics, and administrative tools.
Click Sign Up on the homepage and register using your official university email. Once verified, you can explore approved courses, submit requests, and track your submissions.
Go to the Requests page in your dashboard, click "New Request," upload your course outline or syllabus, select your target university, and provide any additional comments. Then click Submit — your request will be routed automatically to the appropriate department.
Each submission appears in your Requests Dashboard with a live status tag:
🟡 Pending — waiting for review
🔵 Under Review — being evaluated by staff
🟢 Approved — officially accepted
🔴 Rejected — not approved (you'll receive feedback).
You'll also get email notifications when your request status changes.
Processing time varies by university, but most reviews are completed within 1 to 3 weeks. Requests with previously approved equivalents are typically processed faster.
Yes — you can edit or withdraw your request anytime before it's reviewed. Once a decision is finalized, the record becomes read-only for transparency.
All requests are reviewed by authorized staff or faculty members at your home university. For certain partnerships, staff from the host university may also be involved in co-review.
All files and personal data are stored in a secure, encrypted database with strict access controls. Only authorized reviewers and administrators can view your submissions, and all communications are encrypted to protect your privacy.
Our AI uses course descriptions, learning outcomes, and historical approvals to suggest potential equivalents. These are recommendations only — the final approval always comes from your university's academic staff.
