About UQwest

Simplifying Course Equivalency for Global Student Exchanges

Our Mission

UQwest is a centralized platform that uses AI to simplify and accelerate the course equivalency process for university exchanges. We help students find matching courses, request new approvals, and explore exchange opportunities — all in one place, without endless emails or uncertainty. Our mission is to make the exchange experience faster, clearer, and more accessible for students and staff worldwide.

🌍 Our Story

Founded by Students, For Students

UQwest was founded by Jordan Buchanan and Eliott Rozental, two Mechanical Engineering students at McGill University who experienced firsthand how confusing and frustrating course approvals could be during their exchanges.

What began as a personal frustration turned into a vision to simplify student mobility globally. We've built the entire platform ourselves — from the ground up.

  • Jordan, minoring in Software Engineering, leads backend development and system architecture.
  • Eliott, minoring in Artificial Intelligence, develops AI tools for scraping and comparing course outlines.

Together, we're on a mission to make international education more accessible, transparent, and stress-free for students everywhere.
