As a Faculty of Commerce student, it is essential to understand the rules governing daily business transactions conducted for profit, as well as the management, operation, and financial management of companies. Central to business law are civil law, commercial law, and corporate law. Ignoring these rules for profit can lead to serious consequences such as loss of credibility, bankruptcy, liability for damages, and criminal responsibility. Therefore, students specializing in business and related fields must learn the essence of legal rules related to business transactions and operations as foundational knowledge. Since daily life involves transactions with companies and individuals commonly enter contracts with companies, legal knowledge is essential as a means of self-defense in society. This course focuses on major legal issues surrounding business transactions and operations, providing an overview of the relationship between business and law. It serves as an introductory subject, with more specialized courses like Civil Law I-III and Corporate Law I-III offered from the second year onward, acting as a bridge to specialization.
