Introduction to Asset Management

Description

This course welcomes practitioners and researchers at the forefront of asset management business to provide an overview of the world of asset management. Students will learn a wide range of topics from the functions and social positioning of asset management, the current situation of financial capital markets, legal systems, and the surrounding environment, to investment methods in asset management and how to read economic articles, leading to an understanding of the reality of asset management business. In particular, students will gain a correct understanding of the important concept of "return and risk" to deepen their understanding of asset management. In the era known as the 100-year life, having fundamental and practical knowledge of asset management will provide an opportunity to have the correct knowledge about asset formation. This course is established based on the cooperation of the Japan Investment Advisers Association. Students will learn the knowledge, skills, and ethical standards required in asset management, and understand the social mission and role of asset management business.
