Description

This course is intended for students who have completed introductory economics, and aims to explain various phenomena in macroeconomics as well as fundamental concepts and theories of macroeconomics. It covers topics such as GDP (GNP), how price levels are measured, how a country's economic activity level is determined, why there are economic fluctuations, the main determinants of consumption and investment, the roles of fiscal and monetary policies in macroeconomics, desirable macroeconomic policies for economic stability, the impact of foreign economic transactions on the domestic economy, reasons for inflation and unemployment, factors determining economic growth, and the answers that economics has provided to these macroeconomic issues in an easily understandable manner. The lectures will proceed according to the following plan. Preparing for and reviewing this course will require at least the same amount of time as the class hours. Through this course, each student is expected to deepen their understanding of economics, comprehend macroeconomic articles reported in newspapers, and be able to propose solutions to problems.
