
Data Analytics for Financial Statements
Description
A critical examination of accounting and finance concepts as applied to financial statements of firms, focusing on the interests of equity investors. The course will also consider the value of financial statement analysis to capital markets and communities. This course provides an appreciation of how data analytics is applied in accounting, financial statements analysis and equity valuation. Lectures cover applications from financial accounting, management accounting and auditing, in both the private and public sectors. The course also introduces some of the more advanced techniques used in data analytics in practice.
