Description

The purpose of this course is for students to become familiar with the requirements for project and construction management as well as planning, and to gain knowledge about the phases of construction projects, organizational and contractual conditions. Topics include: • Stakeholders and organization of construction projects • Contract and organizational models (procurement forms) • Project phases and their content with focus on contract conditions according to the AB 18 system and FIDIC • Contract terms for clients, consultants, and contractors according to the AB 18 system • Procurement according to Danish procurement legislation • Procurement according to EU procurement directives • Tender conditions and bidding processes • Prequalification, requirement specifications, and tender documents • Award criteria and evaluation of bids • Process and risk management Teaching format and activities: The course is case-based and case work is carried out in groups of 4 students. All cases are handled in a self-managing team. The course is scheduled for 4 lessons per week over 12 weeks, half of which are assignment or case work with supervision. The student workload corresponds to 137.5 hours. Examination prerequisites: None. Examination type: Group presentation, 25 minutes, followed by individual examination with participation of the entire group, 5 minutes per student. Then 10 minutes for voting. Presentation and defense are based on a summary of presentations and assignments answered during the semester. External assessment. Allowed aids: All.
