Description

The course aims to provide students with knowledge of the processes involved in the execution phase of construction, including the contractor's resource management of construction site layout, in situ cast concrete structures, and prefabricated concrete element structures. Topics include safe construction site layout, construction site cranes, in situ cast concrete structures, concrete, reinforcement, prefabricated concrete element structures, construction organization forms, and construction phases. Teaching and activities: The teaching method includes a series of presentations by the instructor, dialogue-based teaching between students and instructor, self-study, video exercises, and guidance. Main tasks are primarily linked to the semester project and small training exercises in class. Tasks are solved in a PBL/Active learning environment, mostly involving teamwork. Examination: Requirement: 1. Attendance (≥ 75%). If not met, the student must submit a written assignment in WISEflow to be eligible for re-examination. Exam format: Individual oral exam, 20 minutes. The exam is based on a topic drawn by lot. No preparation time after the draw. Internal assessment. Allowed aids: All. Re-examination: Same as the regular exam. Grading: According to the 7-point grading scale. Course responsible: Lotte Lassen (lotl). Effective from 01-08-2026. Course type: Mandatory for Bygningsingeniør, 3rd semester.
