The course aims to provide fundamental knowledge about concrete as a material and the calculation of concrete beams in both ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. General knowledge about concrete and calculation of concrete beams. Teaching and activities: Classroom teaching, laboratory experiments, and submission of assignments. Examination: Requirements: 1. Attendance (≥ 75%) 2. Approval of 4 out of 5 course assignments. If attendance requirement is not met, the student must submit a written assignment in WISEflow to be eligible for re-examination. If assignment requirement is not met, the student must submit new course assignments on the same topic to be eligible for re-examination. Exam format: Individual oral exam, 25 minutes. Internal assessment. Allowed aids: All. Re-examination: Conducted as the regular exam. Grading: According to the 7-point grading scale. Course responsible: Sigrid Peters (sipe).
