Description

The course aims to provide students with an understanding of building installations and their design, i.e., heating, water, and drainage installations as well as those around the building. Knowledge of indoor climate parameters and their impact on ventilation design and control is acquired. Requirements from the Building Regulations regarding installations, indoor climate, and energy demand are studied. Focus is on physical coordination and planning of installations. Work includes Integrated Energy Design (IED) and analysis of buildings' energy needs, with introduction to traditional and alternative energy forms. Knowledge of buildings' daylight requirements and calculation of daylight factor. Introduction to sustainability certifications for buildings, including FBK and DK-DGNB. BIM is used for 3D design, quantity extraction, clash detection, and quality assurance. Topics: Building installations, indoor climate and ventilation, energy consumption analysis, sustainability certification. Teaching and activities: 4 hours per week over 12 weeks with teacher-led instruction. The student's workload corresponds to 137.5 hours in total. Study activities include reading materials, class assignments, homework, group work, oral presentations combined with lectures. Examination: Requirements: 1. Attendance (≥ 75%) 2. Completed or credited BY-PWS3, Workshop Practice 3. If requirements are not met, the student must submit a written assignment in WISEflow to be eligible for re-examination.
