The Business Administration I module consists of two parts: The lecture part 'Fundamentals of Management' (Prof. Dr. A. G. Scherer) introduces essential questions of management, management sciences, and their theoretical foundations. Accompanying this is the exercise 'Founding Management', which illustrates the challenges of management using the example of the founding process of a young company. The lecture part 'Fundamentals of Marketing' (Prof. Dr. M. Natter) introduces the basics of marketing, deals with the development of the marketing topic, market research, the four marketing instruments, and marketing management. An exercise on the marketing topics covered will accompany this. Teaching Period: Fall Semester 2025 Assessment Information: Performance assessment through a written exam for the management part (50%) and for the marketing part (40%), as well as interim tests during the semester for the marketing part (10%). The exam for the module will take place on-site as a written exam on paper at the 'Messe Zürich' in Oerlikon.
