Sustainability Accounting

Description

This subject explores accounting for sustainability and accountability for social and environmental impacts across a range of organisations. It critically evaluates the current methods of sustainability accounting with respect to an ever-changing business and political landscape. This includes reporting and governance arrangements related to an organisation’s social and environmental impacts such as accounting for carbon and water, climate change, social responsibility, and modern slavery. Students will become equipped with the tools to critique and make decisions regarding business performance within a sustainability context.
