Learning outcomes: • Understand and apply key marketing concepts. • Develop critical thinking skills for evaluating marketing strategies and comprehending their impact on consumers and society. • Acquire the ability to select the most suitable technological tools for various marketing tasks. Content: Through a combination of real-life cases, classroom discussions, and reading materials the course aims to introduce you to basic principles, theories, and models essential for entry-level positions within the field of marketing. You will explore a range of topics, including customer relationships, customer behavior, communication, international strategies, branding, digitalization, and marketing ethics. You will also examine the impact of the marketing environment on marketing activities. Upon completion of the course, you will have gained a comprehensive understanding of marketing fundamentals and practical tools that can be applied to various business contexts and industries. The course also sets the ground for further, more advanced studies in marketing. After this course, you can proceed to take Brand Management. Bachelor's Degree Programme in Sustainable and Social Entrepreneurship students enroll for this course through the University of Turku's Peppi system. The enrolment will be done using the Ripa service that supports cross-studies in other universities. When you enrol according to the instructions, the course will be automatically transferred to your study register without any credit transfer process.
