Description
EVM2 builds on EVM1, inviting students to apply their holistic movement knowledge gained in Level 4 to character and text in a range of ways. Through the year students focus on specific skills to support the development and realization of embodied, specific characters; and to work with greater criticality and awareness of the dialogue between inner impulse and outer form. Content may vary according to staff specialism and availability; indicative content may include: Improvisation to further develop physical awareness, literacy, and expression through task-based, and choreographic processes. Engagement with specific movement styles and practices to develop greater clarity and precision of form. Further work with Laban's efforts, applied to text and character, including further work with Laban efforts. Animal study, to enhance skills in research, observation, and transformation. Practical voice classes to further develop the vocal skills and understanding of grounding centering and alignment. Applied Voice classes integrating text and accent, to expand students¿ experience with a range of genres and styles. Develop imaginative and embodied approaches to work across a range of contexts, styles and genres. Employ a range of rehearsal and performance techniques in live and recorded formats, including theatre, screen and recorded voice.
