Description

This module prepares students for work with freelance and in-house directors on mid and large scale public productions at Level 6. The module includes basic (unarmed) stage combat classes and an in-house production, rehearsed full time with a tutor-director over 5 weeks, and performed in a GSA studio for an invited audience, with no technical support. Indicative content includes: In-house rehearsals and unsupported in-studio performances of a full-length play. Masterclasses in basic stage combat classes Form a bridge between in-house training and public-facing work at Level 6. Enable students to apply their knowledge and skills in a setting that replicates professional working practices. Extend students' experiential knowledge to a wider range of plays, styles and genres. Prepare students to work in a safe and sustainable way in Public Productions at Level 6 Empower students to recognize and uphold best industry working practices at Level 6 and beyond.
