Description

The course focuses on: the financial management of the firm (management accounting). Central themes are: Cost assessments for products and organizational units. Planning and budgeting methods. Budget follow-ups and performance evaluation related to managerial accounting. Instruction is organized to support students in achieving the learning objectives. Lectures introduce and review key parts of the syllabus and aim to provide an overview of the course’s content, theories, and requirements. Selected sessions may take the form of study cafés, where students work independently on assignments under supervision. Instruction alternates between presentations and problem-solving, where students—often in groups—prepare and discuss assignments related to the material covered. There are also two individual written assignments during the semester. In connection with these, voluntary peer feedback is given and received.
