Description

This course studies the different forms of influence a person has over goods (whether material or immaterial, movable or immovable) as configured by the legal system: possession, property rights (its traditional conception, special properties, co-ownership), and limited real rights (particularly limited real rights of use and guarantee). It approaches the origin, content, function, structure, and regulation of each figure from a theoretical-practical perspective. Its study is complemented by reference to the Property Registry as a means to publicize legal alterations affecting real estate. This branch of patrimonial private law is part of the backbone of private patrimonial law, making it one of the basic courses for the training of a jurist.
