Mandatory Practical Seminar (AW)

Description

The mandatory internship comprises at least 140 working hours (equivalent to 4 weeks) and is ideally completed between the 2nd and 3rd or the 4th and 5th semester. The internship can be completed in agricultural enterprises, companies in the upstream and downstream agricultural sectors, interest groups, or similar organizations. The seminar addresses the organizational structures of these potential internship sites to provide students with a better understanding of the work environments. The internship seminar accompanies the mandatory internship in the Bachelor's program in Agricultural Sciences and offers a platform for exchanging practical experiences and critically engaging with the content learned during the studies. After completing the internship, students present their experiences in the form of a short presentation. Furthermore, students write a report that includes a description of the enterprise, the region, the activities performed, as well as a reflection on the insights gained and their relation to the studies.
