Description
What makes microorganisms genetically, physiologically, and biochemically unique among organisms in the tree of life? An introduction to microorganisms designed for science majors. Genetic principles underlying microbial abilities; microbial structure-function relationships; metabolism, physiology, and ecology of microorganisms; interactions between microorganisms (including pathogens) and their hosts. Prerequisite:BSCI222. Restriction:Must be in a major within Biological Sciences; or permission of CMNS-Cell Biology & Molecular Genetics. Credit Only Granted for:BSCI223orBSCI283. Additional Information:Priority given to BSCI, BCHM and CHEM majors.
