Promoting school libraries

Description

This module is based on service-learning methodology. With the aim of analyzing the functions and challenges that school libraries must assume, it will introduce the resources and strategies necessary to promote the pleasure of reading and critical reading. To achieve this, students will have to design an activity that connects a municipal public library with a school library and helps generate synergies between both. This work will be done in groups throughout the course with guidance from the professor, ad hoc talks, visits to public libraries, and classroom discussions.
