Description

This module addresses the need to introduce second-year students to the knowledge of early childhood and primary education schools as organizational contexts where educational functions are carried out, while also providing a transversal approach to the teaching function. The module is structured into four blocks developed sequentially except for the last, which is worked on transversally throughout the module. The first block aims to activate and systematize some prior knowledge students have about a familiar reality (the school), to foster a comprehensive vision of the module. The second block starts from the premise that education is a social service carried out within a system that must be deeply understood to intervene confidently. From this perspective, future teachers should build a global vision of the educational system and the school subsystem where they will intervene. Three major areas of analysis are established: the educational system, the immediate social context, and the educational center. The third block focuses on analyzing the main function of teachers: contributing to the learning and integral development of their students.
