Principles of Economics

Description

The course is an introduction to economics. It begins with key concepts in economics, and provides some background in the history of economic thought. The course focuses on microeconomics and provides basic analytical tools for working with formal models as well as understanding the ideas behind these models. The topics include comparative advantage, international trade, and equilibrium in the product market, as well as government intervention, monopoly, game theory and other topics. Special emphasis will be given to the way economists think about problems.
