Description

Microsystems for Health (Thérèse Leblois, 8h) This is a review of microsystems used in health and biomedical analysis. Within the context of sensor miniaturization, this course highlights high-level instrumentation associated with humans and their environment. Advanced Cleanroom Technologies (Thérèse Leblois, 4h) This course provides additional knowledge about machining and deposition techniques already covered during the second-year semester. Laser machining, ultrasonic machining, and plasma machining methods will be discussed. MEMS Design and Development (Stéphane Gauthier, 6h) Design and fabrication methods for masks based on a flow chart. Practical mask creation using design software. Microsystems Testing and Control (Pascal Vairac, 8h) This course details material analysis methods, microscopes for characterizing local physical properties and geometry, and excitation and detection techniques for micro-devices during and after fabrication. Micromanipulation and Its Control (Aude Bolopion, 10h) The course covers actuation and control techniques for moving, sorting, assembling, and characterizing microscopic biological and artificial objects for biological analysis and medical tool creation; introduction to micromanipulation, contact manipulation techniques (tweezers
