Volunteer Income Tax Assistance I

Description

This course is required for students to participate in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. The course covers income tax education and tax preparation software training in order to complete the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) certification exams for preparation of tax returns in a local VITA program. Students will attend lecture classes prior to tax season to prepare for the VITA certification exams. All students will be required to attend 6 sessions as a tax preparer and 3 sessions as a greeter.
