DISCOURSES OF THE AFRICAN DIASPORA

Description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of ideas, concepts, and the- ories relevant to the study of the African diaspora. Through the analysis of works by key scholars, theorists, and artists, it enables students to understand the histories, intersections and connections among African diaspora communities worldwide and, as a result, articulate their own sense of identity in relation to the global presence of peoples and cul- tures of African origin. Course prerequisites: ADW 111 and 112.
