English B2.2.1-C1.1.2: Boost your Pronunciation and Fluency! (Face-to-face course)

Description

In this course, participants will develop English-speaking skills, with a focus on pronunciation. This interactive and practical course will help participants develop the mindset, skillset and toolset to enable them to feel successful in their English speaking abilitities. We will practice everything from individual sounds: vowels, consonants and difficult combintations (e.g. /th/man/men, etc.), general patterns of pronunciation (rythym and flow), how and what to stress (word and sentence stress), and fluency practice (chunking and pausing, connected speech, various English accents). Please note that students attending this course will not receive ECTS credits after successful completion but a certificate of participation (Teilnahmebescheinigung) as there will be no exams at the end of the semester. As a result, students' placement will not change after attending this voluntary practice course.
