Introduction to Personality

Description

This course will introduce the leading theories and core research findings in personality psychology. It will review perspectives on personality research including dispositional, biological, intrapsychic, cognitive, social/cultural and adjustment domains. The class will also cover personality assessment methods and common personality disorders. NOTE Only offered online, consult Arts and Science Online. Learning Hours: 108 (36 Lecture, 72 Private Study) Requirements: Prerequisite PSYC 100 /6.0 and 6.0 units of PSYC at the 200-level. Exclusion PSYC 231/3.0*. Assessment/Exam Context: Course assessment and examinations vary by course; Queen's notes that eligible exchange students whose first language is not English may receive extra final-exam time. Exchange Registration Note: Arts and Science courses are open to exchange students subject to prerequisites and space. Most courses should be in Arts and Science; other faculties may be limited. Education, Medicine, and Nursing are not open to incoming exchange enrolment.
