Developmental Psychology

Description

Introduction to the scientific study of human development, as well as the fundamental theories, methods and applications in the field of developmental psychology. A major focus of this course is the social, cognitive, and neurobiological processes that underlie perceptual, cognitive, and emotional development from conception to adolescence. NOTE Also offered online, consult Arts and Science Online (Learning Hours may vary). Learning Hours: 120 (12 Lecture, 18 Tutorial, 36 Online Activity, 48 Private Study) Requirements: Prerequisite PSYC 100 /6.0. Assessment/Exam Context: Course assessment and examinations vary by course; Queen's notes that eligible exchange students whose first language is not English may receive extra final-exam time. Exchange Registration Note: Arts and Science courses are open to exchange students subject to prerequisites and space. Most courses should be in Arts and Science; other faculties may be limited. Education, Medicine, and Nursing are not open to incoming exchange enrolment.
