Bioethics: An Introduction
Description
This is a bioethics introductory course. It requires no prerequisites because students will use the first four weeks of the course to get a better understanding of what ethics is, we take a closer look at various influential competing ethical theories, zoom in on bioethics itself, and get clarity on common mistake people make in bioethical argument. Learning Hours: 120 (24 Lecture, 96 Private Study) Requirements: Prerequisite Level 2 or above. Assessment/Exam Context: Course assessment and examinations vary by course; Queen's notes that eligible exchange students whose first language is not English may receive extra final-exam time. Exchange Registration Note: Arts and Science courses are open to exchange students subject to prerequisites and space. Most courses should be in Arts and Science; other faculties may be limited. Education, Medicine, and Nursing are not open to incoming exchange enrolment.
