Romance and Gothic
Description
A course emphasizing romance and gothic traditions, beginning with the scholarly revival of romance in the mid-eighteenth century and culminating with modern gothic of the late-nineteenth century. Learning Hours: 240 (72 Lecture, 168 Private Study) Requirements: Prerequisite Registration in an ENGL Specialization, Major, or Joint Honours, and ENGL 200 /6.0 and ENGL 290 /3.0 and a minimum GPA of 2.3 in 9.0 units of ENGL. Assessment/Exam Context: Course assessment and examinations vary by course; Queen's notes that eligible exchange students whose first language is not English may receive extra final-exam time. Exchange Registration Note: Arts and Science courses are open to exchange students subject to prerequisites and space. Most courses should be in Arts and Science; other faculties may be limited. Education, Medicine, and Nursing are not open to incoming exchange enrolment.
