Description

Estimation and inference in multivariate econometric models. Emphasizes understanding of methods and their properties as distinct from formal theoretical development. Practical tools for preparing and analyzing data with appropriate models are taught using econometric software. Learning Hours: 120 (36 Lecture, 6 Group Learning, 78 Private Study) Requirements: Prerequisite (A minimum grade of C in [ ECON 250 /3.0 or STAT 263 /3.0 or COMM 162 /3.0]) and ( MATH 120 /6.0 or MATH 121 /6.0 or [ MATH 123 /3.0 and MATH 124 /3.0] or MATH 126 /6.0 or [ MATH 127 /3.0 and MATH 128 /3.0] or COMM 161 /3.0). Corequisite ECON 255 /3.0. Exclusion ECON 251 /3.0; STAT 361 /3.0. Assessment/Exam Context: Course assessment and examinations vary by course; Queen's notes that eligible exchange students whose first language is not English may receive extra final-exam time. Exchange Registration Note: Arts and Science courses are open to exchange students subject to prerequisites and space. Most courses should be in Arts and Science; other faculties may be limited. Education, Medicine, and Nursing are not open to incoming exchange enrolment.
