Workshop on the Act and the Void: The Vertical House; Altitude-Height-Stature

This workshop studies the act of inhabiting a house based on the observation of the extension and conception of the space that accommodates that inhabiting in a generous size. The generosity is like a “more” that does not depend solely on measurements – the large – but on the ability to gather the multiple dimensions of the house in an “at once.” Thus, even in small spaces, the “at once” of the multiple allows achieving the spaciousness demanded by the void that bathes the inhabiting. It is the wholeness of the house that transcends its divisions, its parts from the center or “heart of the house.” (1) A reference to glimpse this is Le Corbusier when he states: “une maison, un palais.”
