DATA MANAGEMENT SKILLS FOR BUSINESS

Description

This module aims to enable students to work with large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel. Management and analysis of large data sets is a fact of life for the modern business and is applicable across the main domains of business, such as marketing, financial reporting, and operations management. This module will improve the level of Excel capability of students from the beginner to mid-Intermediate level. The students will learn how to manage and analyse large datasets to get key management insights into business processes of an organisation. Learning Outcomes: On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Store, clean and organise large datasets using Excel; Analyse the data and choose appropriate analytical techniques for different types of data; and Use insights from data analysis to make business decisions.
