Description
This course introduces archaeological field and laboratory methods. Students will engage with concepts such as the archaeological record, context, stratigraphy, survey, GIS, and dating, and archaeological material analyses that include stone and ceramic artifacts, and animal and plant remains. The course also explores professionalism, career paths in archaeology, cultural resource management, and ethical research practices. Only one of ANTH 1104 and ANTH 2104 can be used to satisfy graduation requirements.
