Description

Introduction: classification of phenomena, structure of an electrical network. Modeling of components: lines, transformers, electric machines, loads. Excitation systems of machines. Steady state. Transient stability, voltage stability, small signal stability. Compensation methods: stabilizers, series and shunt compensation. Sub-synchronous oscillations. Transient electromagnetic phenomena. Methods and tools for numerical simulation.
