Focusing on the Pacific as a global centre of Indigenous relationality for Australia, Aotearoa and the numerous Indigenous cultures of the Pacific, this unit considers the way that Indigenous peoples and communities across the Pacific utilise various aspects of media. Students will engage with Indigenous Pacific collaborations that use media platforms to express resistance, resurgence and rebellion against colonial representations. Graduates of this unit will be able to demonstrate an understanding of contemporary Indigenous Pacific political creativity and activism within various forms of media
