The course aims to introduce digital tools for visualization and rendering, and enhances skills in 3D-modelling, image processing and presentation of architectural projects using digital tools. Knowledge and understanding For a passing grade the student must understand and be able to explain the similarities and differences between digital tools for visualization, rendering and presentation. be able to describe the fundamental features of graphic design. Competences and skills For a passing grade the student must understand and have a capability to work with the basic methods of digital visualization and rendering. be able to work with 3D models, photographs and artwork, when creating architectural presentations. have the capacity to compile an advanced communicative, graphic presentation with a consciously tailored combination of images, text and drawings. Judgement and approach For a passing grade the student must be able to demonstrate a critical approach to different presentation methods and techniques in image processing, visualization, rendering and presentation. be able to compare and evaluate different graphic design solutions for architectural presentations. This course introduces digital tools for visualization and rendering. In addition, the aim is to deliver further training and enhance skills in 3D-modelling, imaging, photography and layout - through lectures and guided exercises.
