The course aims to introduce digital tools for basic 3D hard surface modelling, in order to be able to support the design and presentation of architectural projects. Knowledge and understanding For a passing grade the student must be able to describe basic features of digital tools for 3D sketching and modelling. Competences and skills For a passing grade the student must Understand and have a capability to work with the basic methods of digital 3-D sketching, and 3-d modelling in programs such as Rhinoceros. be able to use 3D-modelling in order to design a simple architectural project. Judgement and approach For a passing grade the student must be able to demonstrate a critical approach to various methods and techniques in 3D sketching and modelling. The course introduces basic digital tools for basic 3D hard surface modelling, through lectures and guided exercises. Tutorials are selected to be relevant to architectural design and presentations.
