Seminar in Accounting

Description

This seminar is a space for exchange and learning through discussion, analysis, and critical reflection. Accounting expertise is approached from different theoretical perspectives. Specifically, the seminar is organized into five parts, each associated with a particular perspective. Thus, accounting is examined from economic, sociological, critical, organizational, and ethical angles. Through various readings and group discussion sessions, the student is encouraged to perceive their field of expertise, general accounting, differently. By the end of this seminar, the student has begun a personal reflection that allows them to develop their own viewpoint on accounting and its role in society.
