Learning outcomes: After completing the course, students • are familiar with the importance of research ethics in scholarly work, such as research integrity • are acquainted with the specific ethical considerations concerning the epistemologies and knowledge practices of the indigenous communities • can address diverse knowledge systems, epistemologies, and cultural practices while fostering inclusive and participatory learning communities • can critically discuss ethical issues relevant to their discipline. Content: Analyzing ethical issues in creative research projects, understanding power dynamics and relations, and addressing topics like authorship, agency, and intellectual property. Exploring the ethical implications of social and ecological responsibility and how to conduct research in a transparent and accountable way. Critical re-evaluation of the global-modernist university as the system of knowledge-production. Study methods: Active participation in lectures and discussions, successful completion of assignments.
