The course is intended to familiarize students with the history of research in the fields of sexual, conjugal, and family ethics and will attempt to enable them to: understand the broad background with which ethical insights have emerged investigate how these insights were or were not incorporated into Catholic theological ethics identify issues that have (not) been favorably received by a significant number of the faithful develop an appreciation for investigating alternative approaches to these and other issues
