Description

By the end of this course the students will be able to understand the principles of biotechnology-based techniques and strategies deployed in view of plant improvement (e.g. gene transfer, gene editing, marker-assisted breeding). Moreover, students will be able to conceive new biotechnology-based applications in plant breeding, based on learning through examples. Finally, the student will be able to place the biotechnology-based applications in a global socio-economic context.
