Introduction to Law
Description
The course aims at contributing to the following learning results. The student 4.e explains general problems of (business) economics in a legal way using a selection of relevant sources of law as well as the functional knowledge of law. At the end of this course the student should understand the basic principles of the law, both within the public law and in civil law. The law provides the legal and institutional framework within which economic processes occur. This understanding should not only make a more informed citizen of the student, with a good picture of the structural organization of our society, but also a better economist, as he will be faced regularly with legal aspects in future professional life. At the end of this course the student should understand the basics of commercial and corporate law. Upon completion of this course, the student can: • apply in specific situations the principles of law acquired • identify a legal problem and offer an early solution to this • work with legal sources, acts • apply in specific situations the principles of commercial and economic law • identify a legal problem in the field of commercial and economic law and decide on an early solution.
