Description
This course aims at developing key concepts in investment decisions. The goal is to provide a structure for thinking about investment decisions and for evaluating investments. The course provides an insight into Modern Portfolio Theory, efficiency of financial markets, and behavioral finance. This course also aims to discuss how management reporting impacts value creation by companies (strategic finance) in the fields of strategic decision making and strategy execution. In order to illustrate the practical relevance, the course focusses on empirical evidence and recent developments. This allows the participants to translate the insights into day-to-day finance decisions. Upon completion of this course, the participants should be able to apply their knowledge and insights in case studies.
