Description

This course aims to provide participants with fundamental insights into optimal corporate investment, financing and dividend decisions, taking into account the relationship between risk and return, the need to maintain financial equilibrium and the financial context in which the firm operates. These insights are then used to analyze important financial decision problems. As these decisions become reflected in financial statements, the course offers tools to learn to understand their impact on these statements. Simultaneously fundamental tools to extract important information from financial statements are developed. The course continuously links these insights to practice in order to help developing the capacity to apply them in actual decision making situations. At the end of the course participants should therefore be able to use the insights in actual decision making situations and case studies.
