Description

This course aims to impart insight into statistical analysis, considered as an essential instrument for economic analysis. * Students must posses an objective and scientific framework to formulate statements about a population and to assess with the help from an observed sample survey. This central goal is supported as follows: Students must posses insight in summarizing the observed data. Students must understand and be able to apply the principles, the basic theory and the basic principles of probability theory. Students must be able to set up a hypothesis and execute it. Emphasis is laid in this introductory course on assessments which support on a normal division (t-division, chi-squared-division, F-division).
