This course evaluates the following outcomes: The course participant… 2.a understands basic theories, basic terms, and basic concepts of each management domain, in particular with respect to the financial, operational, commercial and organisational activities, and can apply them when solving business problems. 2.e has insight into the current financial reporting regulations and applies them to register financial transactions. 2.f assesses the financial performance of an organisation based on a thorough understanding of the structure and preparation of annual accounts and also based on the critical use of several techniques of financial analysis; produces recommendations to adjust the financial policy. 2.t analyses issues in different management domains on the basis of appropriate theories, concepts and models and proposes a scientifically sound solution. 4.e explains general problems of (business) economics in a legal way using a selection of relevant sources of law as well as the functional knowledge of law. ERS Learning Objectives: The student is able to assess the needs of various stakeholders (Complexity in ERS - Skills). Critical analysis of non-financial information (e.g., sustainability reports, sector information) and its relationship to financial figures (Complexity in ERS). The student is aware of ethical risks in reporting (e.g., earnings management, fraud) (ERS worldview - Knowing). The student has insight into societal expectations regarding the transparency of financial (and non-financial) information (ERS Worldview).
