Description

Upon completing this course, the student will be able to: Understand the different components of financial statements, their interrelationships, and their distinctions. Accurately process basic business transactions within financial statements. Evaluate an organization's financial performance using key financial analysis techniques and formulate recommendations to improve financial policy. Apply various costing techniques. Use management accounting tools to support decision-making (e.g., pricing, product mix, etc.). Understand conventional control mechanisms in organizations that align individual behavior with corporate strategy. Understand the relationship between management control systems and resulting human behavior. ERS Objectives: Upon completing this course, the student will be able to: Critically evaluate accounting information, recognize underlying assumptions, and reflect on them in a well-reasoned manner. Identify the information needs of various internal and external stakeholders and understand how accounting information meets those needs. Can handle uncertainty when making decisions.
