After completion of this course the student is able to: - think systematically in terms of costs and revenues. - understand what the market is and how market failures should best be corrected - follow up on economic news, thanks to the mastery of macro-economic concepts such as national accounts, price indices, and payment balances - assess measures of macro-economic policy in which the division between short-term demand policies, medium-term labour market and long-term growth policies is clear.
