Learning Outcomes MK2 - Gaining in-depth knowledge and comprehension in one of the following disciplines in Electronics and ICT Engineering Technology: digital and analog systems, signal processing systems and data communication MI1 - Problem analysis and solving MI2 - Design and/or development MP1 - To make operational MG1 - Information gathering and processing MG3 - Critical thinking Goals To learn the basic principals of digital image processing (MK2), such as: IO of images geometric transforms filtering in spatial and frequency domains image enhancement image restoration by practically applying existing image processing functions from the opencv and scikit-image libraries in the Python programming language (MK2, MG1, MP1) developing custom made efficient functions and scripts to solve some basic and more advanced digital image processing problems (MI1,MI2, MP1) critically reflecting on the practical problem or task to be solved to implement (code) a time and resource efficient solution  (MG3) using the source code and explanations provided during the course, as well as looking up relevant information in literature, in library APIs, on online platforms or fora, such as stackoverflow (MG1).
